Thin and unremarkable. I’ve heard good things about this bourbon, so maybe I just got an off batch? Price is right, so I’ll revisit another barrel later.

Sweet, smoky vanilla and caramel on the nose with a full, oily middle and a long leathery, spicy finish. All this with about three drops of filtered water in a 2oz. pour. I think it gets more interesting if you let it sit a bit between sips. I'll try the other two bottlings I have then re-visit all three side-by-side.

Fruity oak on the nose with a very full, oily body consisting of vanilla and floral flavors and what I can only describe as a bright oak flavor. Finish is looooooong spicy clove with a numbing, but not hot effect. Earthy sneaks in the nose while sipping too. This one has a lot going on... in a good way!

Smooth, but a bit too waxy/oily for my taste. Lacks complexity and leaves you wishing for something more. At $40 locally, it's too overpriced to keep around. Once emptied, it won't be replaced.

Light, delicate floral notes dominate. Light apple sweetness and a hint of spiciness. Not a bad bourbon, but the light flavors remind me more of an oaky Chardonnay than bourbon.

A step up from Special Reserve, but not overwhelming. More pepper on the spice notes, but still has the same clove/cinnamon punch also. The sweetness is similar also, but more pronounced vanilla and sweet fruits than Special Reserve's honey sweetness.

One of the first decent bourbons that I've taken the time to enjoy. Unfortunately, the price is a little high in my area @$49.99, but it's worth it. Sure, I'd like to pick it up for $20, but that seems like too little! Sweet and fruity with a nice clove/cinnamon spice kick. The proof is apparent, but not too hot.

This is a mixer with just enough complexity to make it worthy of sipping neat. Sweet vanilla and notes of leather and tobacco and subtle spice.

Smooth, fruity and slightly floral. So delicate that is is best enjoyed very slowly while taking the time to savor each sip. I can't wait to try its older brother Yellow Spot!
