Tastes

Lovely aroma of butterscotch, toasted caramel and the influence of the sherry cask is coming through. The taste follows similar theme - really smooth and pleasing. Hints of sweetness but not too sweet. Butterscotch finish.

Really pleasant on the nose (one of my favorites). Vanilla, honey, a note of toasted caramel. Medium body and not as sweet in the first instance on the palate. Starts with a nice mellow taste and then all the spice takes over. Nice long finish brings back the vanilla and sweetness that the nose suggested.

Oak and mellow sweetness (vanilla, honey) on the nose. Full body texture. Not too sweet on the palate, briny, savory, salty. A good burn comes through in the tail. Not very long tail - slightly sweet.

Vanilla and floral notes on the nose. Same with the taste - vanilla and honey sweetness but also floral notes. A little bit of dark chocolate. That floral perfume together with the honey lingers for a pleasant soft finish.

Soft caramel and butterscotch, a hint of honey and jammy fruit on the nose (apricot maybe?). These come on the palate as well although the sweet note is very subdued. Slightly salty and slightly spicy. The jammy fruit and honey stays as an aftertaste (especially light honey - very long finish)

Spice, slight caramel on the nose. A hint of smoke. Spice and smoke comes through on the palate as well although much softer than the nose would suggest. Slight soft sweetness. Slight spicy notes linger. All said, an interesting but not as rounded as I hoped.
