If you're looking for something that fights back then don't come to pappy. Nose is a gentle light vanilla and lemon ice tea. The tea shows up again in the palate with less lemon and more vanilla and oakyness. None of the flavors are fighting which leads to a all round drinker. Wish I could say what adding water does but it was gone before I could even try! Highly recommend if you can get for a good price.

vanilla, oak and leather on the nose. Strong leather and oak leads to a super smooth vanilla with a spicy oaky finish. Adding a bit of water transforms this whiskey into a spice bomb with a buttery vanilla finish

A good next step for whiskey beginners. It introduces a few more interesting notes on the nose and palate and emphasizes oak flavors. The nose has an interesting combo of oak, leather and vanilla. The palate is a similar situation with the usual vanilla but with some banana and strong oak spice. This whiskey isn't very hot and has a medium palette. Overall great value but nothing to crazy or complex.

This is a classic bourbon in both nose and palate. Strong vanilla and oak in the nose initially which gives way to a bit of cinnamon spice. It has a medium body with oak, vanilla, and red apple on the palate. The finish is disappointingly short with a bit more oak and spice. Overall a great bourbon for the price point and has a very classic flavor profile

Wonderfully light whiskey which leads itself well to be drunk neat. A light pure sake and cherry blossom on the nose with a slight toastyness. Flavor profile is vanilla, pepper, and plum with some floral notes in there. Definitely a very unique whiskey but maybe not the most interesting.

Christmas spice and apple on the nose. Super strong vanilla marshmallow initially on the palate leading to cinnamon spice and oak smoke. Strong burn on the end to top it off. Surprisingly balanced between the smoke and spice with the sweet.

The office is well deserved. Very well balanced whiskey with no sharp edges. Honey and dark fruit on the palate leading to barrel spice and cinnamon.

This is all peat and herbs all day. Get a bit of honey sweetness initially which opens up to some crisp apple or pear flavor.

Peat and honey on the nose. Dry leather and herbly notes on the palate with peat after taste. Smooth finish with peat and sage on the palette.

All vanilla on the nose. Vanilla, oak smoke, and old leather on the palate. Nothing stands out and everything is very balanced
