Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon (80 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 18, 2020 (edited October 20, 2020)Charred sweetness on the nose, brown sugar & cherry with a lot of barrel. The palate is semi-sweet with baked goods and caramel, but still charred & oaked. A little spice, but very comfortable. Finishes with oak, toasted caramel and a touch of leather. Terrific bottle for the price.19.0 USD per Bottle -
Incredible nose, sweet with banana and apple. A touch of brown sugar is also there just off the rim. The taste is terrific. Apple and cherry come in right away, followed by chocolate banana. All of this is combined with a more present barrel near the end. The 93 proof gives a small spice, but the barrel is what’s really providing the spice element. The palate carried over through the finish, sweet with the barrel shining through.53.0 USD per Bottle

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed April 14, 2020The nose clearly offers the classic JD aroma, but the barrel proof isn’t intense enough to stop the fruit notes of apple & cherry come through. The palate immediately showcases the charcoal featured JD profile but also pushes the sweetness of traditional bourbons, banana & cherry are visible. It’s barrel proof moniker is true to its name as it tastes spicy, but the alcohol intensity is dulled by their signature mellowing. The edges are well rounded and make this barrel proof very wonderful and delicious. The finish isn’t as long as expected, but well timed. It lasts long enough to showcase the falling of the sweetness replaced by the charred barrel, tobacco, and a little more banana. -
The nose is incredibly soft & sweet. Initially smells of caramel and butter but leads to deep cherry and apple. The palate is almost incomparably soft, the wheated mash is so forgiving. Sweet caramel and cherry follow. The finish is relatively short but tasty. The sweet caramel gives way to a more floral and leathery finish.28.0 USD per Bottle

Smooth and sweet on the nose with cherry, apple, & vanilla. Then opens into deep fruit notes, very fruit sweet. The palate is just as smooth and sweet with apple & cherry. The finish is longer than expected, stays sweet but adds a little of the barrel with almost a honey barrel spice.28.0 USD per Bottle
