Coming into this bottle I expected apple pie level spices. I didn't get that, but what i did get was so much better. The nose is sweet with honey and marzipan, but the palate is where it really gets started. Here you'll find loads of cinnamon nutmeg and some clove. These spices might sound like a lot to handle but are delivered with that signature sweetness. On the finish i noticed a fantastic maltiness that combines with the spices to produce a beautiful and complex finish. I sat on this bottle for a while; don't make the same mistake as i did. Enjoy it ASAP!

Rock Hill Farms Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 29, 2014 (edited February 18, 2015)Nose is full of vanilla and caramel. The palatd find the above as well as a generous dose of baking spices the finish is slightly long with rye spice lingering. Its important to note that this was directly compared to Blanton's, which shares the same mashbill. I find every aspect of this whiskey to match Blanton's except for depth and finish. For my money its this bottle over Blanton's every day of the week. -
It is highly recommended if you can get it opposed to the 81. Regardless we are talking about what Wild Turkey does best, spice and everything nice. This is an everyday rye not overly complex but thats not a complaint. The smooth spice notes on the nose are the same as those found on the palate. Its a great mixer but good enough to enjoy straight.

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 15, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)Nose is light with vanilla and faint tropical fruit (upon sitting in the glass slight barrel char shows up but doesn't show on the palate). Palate has light spiciness with more vanilla. Over all I find this bottle to be easy sipping maybe too easy. Not very complex. (DrinkUP NY Single Barrel #300 barreled April 2002 - bottled 2012) -
Young and vibrant rye. I am really impressed at how easy this whiskey goes down. The wonderfully sweet nose gives way to a crisp and spicey palate. There are some notes underneath struggling to be noticed but I think that has to do with the young age. With a medium dry finish this one is an easy sipper if you can find it.

Jack Daniel's Rested Tennessee Rye
Rye — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 31, 2014 (edited February 4, 2016)No rating as i have not tasted it yet but i find JDs prices for these bottlings too high. If they want more fans in this sector thry should consider a lower price point. The small manufacturers need the 50ish price point to continue on. No JD.
