Not much on the nose. Some citrus among the light wafts of alcohol. Initially not much flavour at all. A little bit of creamy toffee and peppery spice. The bitterness of the pepper lingers a little, but all in all a very muted (watered down) dram. Having said that, I wasn’t expecting much but it’s surprisingly smooth and sippable for the only whiskey available on a warm Egyptian winter evening.

Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 5, 2023Very subtle floral and sweet pear on the nose. Feels like a familiar Islay in its brininess but without the smoke. Fruit and honey sweetness. Give it some time in the glass and the malt notes start to show through. Spice and brine hang around for the finish. -
TINCUP American Whiskey
