Johnnie Walker Double Black
Peated Blend — ScotlandTastedPleasant smokiness
Port Charlotte 2007 CC:01
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTastedVery strong, chemically, high proof. Strong but not aggressive. I don't like it but everyone else does. Need to come back to this one when I have more experience with peaty whiskeys.
Blended Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedVery mild smell, spicy flavor that gets stronger after it sits in your mouth (after kick). Sips "clean" (easy going down, less burn). Less complex (same flavors, inoffensive). Probably a good base for mixed drinks and adding other flavors on top of it.
Old Pulteney 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandTastedMild smell strong taste. Cherry in after taste. Tasted sweet but not too sweet. Stronger initial kick but mellowed out. Dark honey.
Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Rye Whiskey
Rye — Kentucky , USATastedAggressive flavor. Sharp. Nice smell, good finish. Warmth spreads through you. Spicy.
Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedSmoky, warm. Spicy. Smells kind of savory/vanilla. I would eat it with beef jerky. Or nachos or barbeque.
Sagamore Spirit 'Sagamore Reserve' Double Oak
Rye — (bottled in) Maryland, USATastedSweet, woody, cuddly. Smooth, good for either sipping or in cocktails. Smells like caramel or vanilla. MD distillery. Wooded. Recommended by Brie
The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year

Buffalo Trace Bourbon
