Old Grand-dad 114 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Nose: old leather couch, medium cigar tobacco/hay, bit of vanilla, good amount of heat. Taste: sweet, nice creamy mouthfeel, not a lot of heat. Peanut brittle, toffee, baking spice, I really thought it would be hotter and spicier, but it’s not and I like it! Perfect with peanuts 🥜 🥃 Easily becoming a top fav of mine and one of the best $30ish bottles 4/5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️29.99 USD per BottleNine And Hilton Market

Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 28, 2020 (edited November 14, 2020)Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 & 14 year versions QR 12, 46% non chillfiltered Nose: sweet dried fruit, sticky prunes, spice, honey Taste: sweet, fruity, honey, baking spice-turns dry, then more honey Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14, 46%, non chillfiltered Nose: citrus, orange peel-spiciness, more orange, a Terri’s chocolate orange Taste: rich, dark fruits, juicy, then turns dry, chocolate, bitter chocolate, mint, spices. Wow! With a little water and time you’ll get vanilla cake. Like an orange vanilla cake with chocolate filling 🤤 - Both versions are great. On the nose the 12 is more fruity sweet, where the 14 is more orange citrus spicy-sweet. Taste is similar, but the 14 goes more dark chocolate, spicy, more complex than the 12 year. Good on Glenmorangie for adding on 2 years at the same price and making a fantastic whisky. . . .60.0 USD per BottleMeijer -
Nose: light aromatic campfire smoke, fresh red fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, bit of leather. Taste: arrival is caramel, vanilla, turns fruity, dried fruit, then spicy/cinnamon, dark chocolate, leather, and smoke on the finish. There is some salt somewhere in there too. Lots of good stuff going on Great dram!

Johnnie Walker Blue Mini Review Previously a 5 star for me, now downgrading to 3.5 Nose: fruity, floral, honey, dried red fruit, pear, apricot- white fruits, Taste: sweet cereal malt, honey, dried red fruit, vanilla cake, mineral/sea note (hi Talisker!) Happy I got this as a mini to try out again for $20. I got a bottle for my wedding a few years ago and it was amazing at the time to my novice palate. As I’ve gotten into single malts and quality blends I just can’t justify ever buying a bottle of this. It’s good, but not remotely worth the price. For the usual $180+ price tag in MI, I would rather have a bottle of HP 18 AND a bottle of Laphroaig 10, etc. If you really want to try it, buy a glass for too much at a bar, or find a shop that has the $20 50mL bottles. I could see giving the mini as a fun gift, but that’s it.Ladd's & Co
