Jack Daniel's Eric Church Single Barrel Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee , USA
Reviewed September 20, 2020 (edited February 12, 2021)First I like JD SB, but this one has a different taste. I think it's the first whiskey that I've tasted with a lingering banana taste. Has a good mouth feel, but nothing to brag about on the front of the tongue for taste. It's smooth with or without ice. It sort of reminds me of those young micro craft distillery whiskeys I've tried. I'd buy another JD product over this EC release. Luckily I found a 55 dollar bottle verus buying the 100 dollar bottle I saw earlier.55.0 USD per Bottle -
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Heritage Barrel (2018 Release)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 12, 2019 (edited March 29, 2022)I’m trying this at a whiskey bar because I couldn’t find it at any liquor store. 26 dollar pour. I really like this one better than the barrel strength. Nose it smells sweet Taste is on the front to middle of my tongue nothing on the sides. The char added flavor to this one. You have to give this one a try at retail.26.0 USD per PourFounders Tavern & Grille -
Rock Hill Farms reminds me of one of the BT Antiques but at a lower proof. The similarity is in the taste. 13 dollar pour at the bar. Lots of flavor. The nose is sweet. I would drink this again, going for 80 dollars a bottle in MD. Should be a 60 dollar bottle.13.0 USD per PourFounders Tavern & Grille

Little Book Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task
Other Whiskey — Multiple Countries
Reviewed November 21, 2018 (edited November 27, 2018)I feel Noe Simple Task isn't worth the price, 100.00, If I'm going to spend 100 plus on Rye I'm buying Peerless. Neat: It's got heat but weak on spice and flavor, the rye spice is very faint. With some water: The RYE stands out I get the mint, seems to have more going on with water than neat. This is my first time tasting it only had a small pour. I'll update later after I have a good size dram and time. UPDATE 11/24/18: I originally had this a 3 bumped it up to a 4. I keep forgetting I'm tasting a BLENDED Whiskey (8 year KSR, "40 year old" Canadian Whisky and 13 year Canadian Rye and not a Bourbon or straight Kentucky rye. I've never had any Canadian Rye Whiskey straight/blended. This bottle is like a high test Canadian Rye Whiskey. I don't have a good nose so I don't give results for scents/smells. I can't believe Little Book put 40 year old Canadian whiskey in this blend and at what percentage. Would've liked to seen this sold deconstructed along with the blend to taste each part of the recipe separately and complete. Sat down an had a neat dram and another with a little water. Neat this time I could taste the rye more, has heat and spice but light on the oak/wood. Once again this Blend opens up great with water or a ice cube, the rye comes out even more. Overall it taste good. Would like to see Little Book priced at Bookers price. I need to try some Woodford and Crown Royal Rye whiskeys to help me get a better idel of this blend.100.0 USD per Bottle -
Had a pour of this at a bar. By the end of the glass it reminded me of a lightly malted Irish whisky blend. It's drinkable but nothing great. I'm a bourbon drinker mostly so this one was light on the tongue. For the 3 different barrel finishes being blended together my rookie tasting tongue couldn't taste a lot of complexity. I could only pick up the malted wheat.15.0 USD per Pour

First time drinking this pour at a whiskey bar 19 dollar pour. Will buy this 100% rye again in 750ml bottle for my collection under 80 dollars. This Rye taste different then all the other ryes out there. It seems to be more mellow/toned down on the mint/menthol taste than the others. FYI I just finished a pour of Old Fitzgerald 11 year BIB before tasting EHTR. I’m thinking I like this better than my favorite rye Peerless Rye.

Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 11 Year (Spring 2018)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 4, 2018Drinking this at Founders Tavern & Grill, 29 dollar pour. I’d buy it if you can find it for under 100.00 a 750ml. Very good BIB smooth no major burn, lightly spiced. Creamy when you let it hang in your month for a couple of seconds before you drink this easy neat sipper. No need to ice or water.
