    One of the best gins I've ever had. Slightly sweet, really like the angelica root, and has a little chewiness to the mouthfeel. Quite smooth, the alcohol bite is very mild for 47% ABV. Too good for cocktails, keep some Sapphire for that. But it's still gin, and I can't handle more than a half dram neat. Not going to be something I drink as often as brown liquors, but an exceptional presentation of the type and a worthy addition to the cabinet.

    It's a one trick pony but I really like the trick. I've always been partial to wheat bourbons and this takes that distinct flavor and makes a whole spirit out of it. If you don't like wheaters, you won't like this. But I really, really do.

    The name delivers, the port barrel finish gives this a nice brown fruit flavor at the beginning, every so slightly sweet, then the wood shines through in the middle. Long boozy finish, maybe too ethanol-forward. Very warming.
