Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 25, 2021 (edited December 23, 2021)An "ok" rye for the price. Has typical rye notes, spicy and vanilla, but felt muted and weak. At this price point, I'd prefer Old Overholt. -
One of the best gins I've ever had. Slightly sweet, really like the angelica root, and has a little chewiness to the mouthfeel. Quite smooth, the alcohol bite is very mild for 47% ABV. Too good for cocktails, keep some Sapphire for that. But it's still gin, and I can't handle more than a half dram neat. Not going to be something I drink as often as brown liquors, but an exceptional presentation of the type and a worthy addition to the cabinet.55.0 USD per BottleGiant Eagle Supermarket
