Macallan Estate Reserve 1824 Series
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 24, 2016 (edited August 11, 2017)Rich and fruity yet smooth - simply amazing. Picked up spiciness at the end which was perfect. Would have given 5 stars if I resonated more with it ! -
Nant Sherry Wood Single Cask Single Malt
Single Malt — Tasmania, Australia
Reviewed January 15, 2016 (edited September 12, 2017)Nutty on the nose and welcoming. Taste is nutty and woody and a little fruity which comes out better with a drop or 2 of water. -
Laphroaig An Cuan Mór
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 3, 2016 (edited August 11, 2017)The nose is very strong almost like menthol. Trying this neat is definitely not for everyone. Adding a few drops opens it up better but its still strong. The taste is tangy, super smoky and peaty as expected from Laphroig. The menthol taste is there and so is tangy. Finishing is pretty smooth. -
Highland Park 18 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 30, 2015 (edited August 11, 2017)It's amazing how a whisky like this can totally bring a new sense of balance to what is complex yet goes down with unbelievable ease. The toffee taste in this is evident and it's sweet, smokey yet again so balanced . Amazing ! -
