Bottle #236. Magnificent and complex bourbon. Really well balanced. Aromatic enticing nose of leather, tobacco, nutty, horse sweat, musty, dried leaves. Animal and farmyardy. So velvety and smooth on the palate. It slides down with no aggressive hotness. Oaky, sweet, fruity, grapes, toffee, honey and spicy notes with a subtle peppery hit.

The nose is quite enticing with nutty, biscuity, leather, oak, dried leaves, peaches and orange peel notes. Quite a array of aromas. The letdown is on the palate: sweet, syrupy, caramel and fruity notes are present but for a whisky with a 14 year old ageing pedigree this lacks further expression.

A lot of things going on here. Lovely peated nose, with petrol, seasoning herbs, tobacco leaves and oil character. Nice and smooth palate, albeit not as varied as the nose but with plenty of stories to tell:, smoky, sweet, pears, white grapes, light agave and prickly pepperiness.

Waves of complexity on this one. Nose with pine, coconut, tobacco and smoky notes. Gracious aromas. The palate is sweet and smooth with vanilla, grape skins and pears making the rounds. And it tails out with a delectable biscuity finish.

Lovely dram. Enticing peaty nose, with spices, cinammon, cloves and herbal notes. Palate is spicy and peppery with fruity apricot and peach in syrup character.

Nose: Smoky, caramel, butter biscuits, almond and cinnamon.. Palate: Velvety. Spicy, peppery, peaty, nutty, honey and candied fruit. Not very complex, but a pleasant dram nonetheless.

It doesn't have great depth but it is still quite nice. Peaty, earthy, moist soil, vegetable aromas. Velvety texture with cooked apples, chocolate and herbal flavors.
