Tastes

One of the very few bourbons I have tried. Reminds me of a 10 year scotch, so better than I expected. The alcohol taste is more apparent , but that's to be expected on a spirit without an age statement. Smooth , carmelly, notes of honey, I want to even say peatty but peatty sure I am mis-describing what I am tasting. Pleasant nose. I am not disappointed and impressed overall.

Laphroaig 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 9, 2015 (edited December 24, 2015)I love Laphroaig for different reasons than ardbeg 10. Ardbeg is no holds barred a peat monster. Laphroaig 10 brings a more distilled, refined , well mannered peat monster. A must have for any peated whisky lover.
