Cracked open barrel number 52 for Memorial Day. A fragrant nose that reminded me of a bouquet of flowers. The initial taste was sweet. This bourbon is smooth as a baby's behind and an easy drinker. I give it an A for effort but honestly when I pay this much for a bourbon I expect a tad bit more of an impression.

Cherry that gives way to red hots. I drank it neat and there's a ton of spice on the backend that warmed my belly. I want to try the 2015 batch to see what all the hoopla is about. Cask strength bourbons aren't normally my thing but this opened my eyes a bit and I could see myself sitting in the cabin on a cold winters night with a fire and a glass of this hooch. My dog got a lap of this concoction out of my glass and is now curled up at my feet snoring. So, two paws up for him.

Ordered a bottle off Caskers as I haven't seen this locally. I had high hopes and really wanted this to wow me and it just never did. I consider it a good bourbon but not a great one. I paid $60 for this one and can say I'm one and done. If you can get it for $30 do it. I'd probably rank it in the high 80's. Like an 88 but not a 94 like Distiller has it. Tomato/Tomatoes.
