What a waste of 10 year rye. not only are there better ryes out there but it’s so weak and boring. Hopefully beam kills this product and puts those barrels to better use.

It’s not a good whiskey let alone a limited release. The spice and ethanol taste on the palate is too over powering and makes it one dimensional. It’s a shame the parkers heritage lines a usually excellent but 2019 and 2018 have been such a miss by heaven hill. What a shame! Do yourself a favor, pass on this and get something else instead.

Meh. An overpriced below average “blend”. If you see it on the shelf, leave it there.

I’ve been very critical of Kentucky owl and rightly so. When you’re starting price point for a bourbon or rye is north of $100 you set a high expectation of your product and tell your customer this is a preeminent bourbon. Confiscated is simply not worth the $130-$150 that they charge for it. It’s a solid $50 bourbon at best. Do yourself a favor skip this and pick up Russell’s reserve single barrel instead.

This is a fantastic bourbon for the price point. Carmel, honey, oak. Medium long finish with pepper and cinnamon. This stuff is fantastic. Skip the hunt for blantons or eagle rare and pick this up.

This smells like a horse barn on the nose.

Needs more time to age. All balcones have this earthiness to them that I just can’t escape. I was hoping the bourbon wouldn’t have it but it does. Also, needs a bit more than 24 month of aging. It was ok probably won’t buy it again.

Simply not worth chasing this out. If you think your buying the award winner, you’re not. This is a single barrel so it’ll vary from barrel to barrel If this and Elijah Craig are next to each other in the shelf, I’m buying Elijah Craig.
