Knob Creek 15 Year Bourbon (2020 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 29, 2020 (edited September 24, 2020)I started nosing leather, shoe polish, tobacco, and oak, with a hint of cinnamon. The palate is a meld of cloves, brown sugar, toffee, and buttered popovers. The finish is more caramel and cinnamon sugar like cinnamon toast with cinnamon sugar on it instead of maple syrup. Mind you, this is the neck pour. Repeated sips discover an oakiness with more buttered toast. Buttery indeed like buttery caramel on toast. Not quite dulce de leche but like melted butter on caramel on toast. It's solid at least from the neck pour of a 15 year. It has a nice body. Makes me want to make buttered toast and drizzle caramel over it.106.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed August 28, 2020Past the oakiness of the barrel wood, the nose reveals notes of vanilla and butterscotch, as well as a slight fruitiness. Further oxygen brings notes of amaretto, almonds, and macaroons. On the palate reveals toffiness with some cotton candy toward the back. A little allspice as well as a hint of maraschino cherry. Not the most complex but certainly delivers enough to keep the pour interesting and satisfying.105.0 USD per Bottle -
