Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye
Canadian — Alberta, Canada
Reviewed November 29, 2021 (edited December 14, 2021)Don't be an animal and drink this neat. It doesn't work. With some water/little ice, it really opens. Huge amounts of fruit, sweet maple, spice, and vanilla. -
J.P. Wiser's 23 Year Cask Strength Blend
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed November 29, 2021 (edited December 23, 2021)Huge body and viscous. Surprisingly drinkable for such a high abv. Lots of vanilla, maple, pepper, leather, stonefruit, orange, and tobacco. A chart topper. -
Casamigos Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Highlands, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed April 29, 2021 (edited July 1, 2022)For the money, it's a hard pass. The Blanco and reposado are very nice but this falls significantly short. Too light, not too complex, and too low in alcohol. It's missing some bite and body, likely because it's been diluted too much. Stick with the other two.
