Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon 100 Proof
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 10, 2021 (edited January 29, 2021)This was fine, it felt very average, nothing to write home about, but for $17 it was worth it.17.0 USD per Bottle -
High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 8 (All Scenes)
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed January 3, 2021 (edited July 1, 2022)Easy to drink, I was surprised with how much “port” flavor initially hit the palate. Then the typical rye whiskey flavors became more prominent and finished with very detectable cinnamon & mulling spices. Very nice, this one has a definite fall/winter feel, and needs to be enjoyed around a campfire or outside on a cold night. -
Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot "B" 12 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 3, 2021 (edited August 29, 2022)It hit the tongue very crisp and light, almost cool like a refreshing glass of water on a hot day, which I was not expecting. It had the sweetness you expect from a wheated bourbon but not too sweet. The finish was spectacular, it slowly coated the entire mouth, and just stayed there uninterrupted. My current favorite to have ever tasted. -
Jim Beam Black Label Extra-Aged
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed December 15, 2020 (edited April 10, 2022)I was surprised by this one. Very easy to drink, with next to no spice. The most vanilla I have tasted in a bourbon. First try tasted like vanilla creme brûlée with that crystallized sugar on top. On second taste it was a vanilla pudding bomb. It has a medium to short finish.17.89 USD per Bottle -
Old Tub Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 25, 2020 (edited August 29, 2020)Way better than I expected. Great buy for $18! My current favorite on my shelf. I will be trying to get more. On the nose: Initially I got honey cornbread & the second time it was honey & a distinct peanut. Taste: Full flavored honey & a bit of peanut butter mixed with it. Just the right amount of burn to let you know it’s 100proof.
