Balvenie Single Barrel 15 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 27, 2017 (edited November 6, 2017)older bottle paid 90 usd currently not opened. Second bottle found in a dusty licka stow for 100. Third bottle found for 80. Had this at a balvenie raw craft tasting with the late great Anthony Bourdain. It was poured straight from the cask with a .50 cal world war 2 shell casing. One of the best drams of my life next the the sherry cask equivalent which was my next tasting experience in the same day. -
Unique and distinct golden promise barley taste and nose similar to the Macallan 12 for a fraction of the price. A great every day go to dram and I would recommend the 10-18 which is all i can afford at the moment. If you love Macallan you will enjoy Glengoyne especially for the price and quality. Check out the youtube distillery tour. Slainte!
