I heard great things about this from reviewers online and have to say i wasn’t disappointed. Pleasant notes of vanilla and leather on the nose. I was surprised by how rich the flavor profile was. Big hits of chocolate followed by an oaky tobacco finish. Very smooth sipper and wonderful value for $40 at the store.40.0 USD per Bottle

Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2024 (edited May 29, 2024)This is a bottle that’ll always have a spot on my shelf for $35 dollar a pop. It’s not overly-complex, very heavy vanilla and oak on the nose. The vanilla carries over initially on the palate, followed by smooth oaky woodiness resulting in a clean cut finish. No real frills here, just an excellent, standard bottle that’s easily available in my area and my preference when looking for something on the cheaper side.35.0 USD per Bottle -
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed May 15, 2024 (edited May 17, 2024)Had high hopes for this one and was not disappointed. I was expecting the typical “flavor bomb” you tend to get with some barrel proof products but was pleasantly surprised at some of the subtlety with the flavor profile and overall sipping experience. I get mild notes of molasses and peanut brittle on the nose. Almost an herbal quality to this one, very fresh and almost minty(?) finish. Drinks much lighter than a 133 proof bourbon but flavor-wise ticks every box for me. For $80 this is a bottle I’ll keep on my shelf as long as I can find it in the store.80.0 USD per Bottle -
Paul Sutton Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Danville, KY, USA
Reviewed May 15, 2024 (edited June 12, 2024)Right off the bat I get heavy vanilla on the nose with mild toasted pecans on the back end. A little harsh initially but this improved a bit after I let it set out for an extra 10 minutes. Buttery mouth feel that leads into a punch of vanilla followed by a creamy, almost banana-like finish. Enjoyable pour, varies from the typical run of the mill BiBs that rely on char and heavy oak notes. For $70 there are certainly better products out there but it’s a relatively unique bottle that I don’t see at every store so worth the price this time.70.0 USD per Bottle -
Sweet honey and pie crust on the nose. Heavy graham cracker notes on the palate, reminds me of the goldfish graham crackers. Great bottle, super hot initially but tried again after 3 months and the flavor profile really came through. Close competition between this and the 107 for favorite Weller on the market today.100.0 USD per Bottle

Ben Holladay 6 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Missouri, USA
Reviewed May 10, 2024 (edited June 10, 2024)I really wanted to like this but for the $60 price point i think there are several other products out there that have this beat. Pleasant general oakiness on the nose but sort of thin unremarkable mouth feel. Very sweet punch initially that fades to general oaky, woody finish. I just don’t love the sweetness i get initially oddly enough, it’s an enjoyable pour and I’ll gladly finish the bottle but I was a bit underwhelmed based on the hype this bottle got online. I’m anxious to try the Soft Red Wheat and Rickhouse Proof if i csn ever get my hands on it. -
Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 1
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 10, 2024 (edited September 5, 2024)Didnt get to see which Batch # I tried but Stagg Jr. is about as close as it gets to a “perfect” pour for me. Absolute flavor bomb that doesn’t let up, huge hits of grape and cherry initially that fades to oaky molasses on the finish. Expectedly very hot but in a pleasant way. Would absolutely drain a bottle in a few days if given the opoortunity to.
