A bit harsh on both the nose and palette, but surprisingly pleasant. Mixes exceptionally well, which considering this is a no age statement US bottled hard bottom shelf blend is impressive. Overall I'd consider it very average but at the price it's at it's a deal. Taste is subjective but compared to stuff like Inver House and Clan Macgregor at similar prices it's substantially better. Additionally, due to the way the packaging is in terms of label and screw top design, the 86.8 proof specifically, the name being Duggan's Dew, and the tasting notes I get from it. I'm fairly confident the actual liquid in the bottle is an old recipe for Dewar's White Label.14.0 USD per Bottle

At least to my palette, I get practically nothing from this, extremely neutral with just a hint of sweetness and ethanol. Very much the textbook definition American vodka. Which where I live it's priced basically the same as Smirnoff 80 proof and Platinum 10x. Which also similarly I find to be very neutral vodkas.13.0 USD per Bottle

Christian Brothers VS Brandy
American Brandy — USA
Reviewed November 18, 2024 (edited December 29, 2024)More of a whiskey/whisky specifically bourbon profile than brandy truthfully. But I get vanilla, brown sugar, maple, and oak, and on the nose but not really the palette this almost bubble gum note. Definitely most suited as a mixer and a budget one at that, but I have drank it neat and it's acceptable to my palette at least. It's also notably smoother than I expected at it's price point. Where I'm at as of the time of review, 375ml is roughly $5-6, a 750ml is $11, and 1.75L handles are around $24-25.11.0 USD per Bottle -
Keeping in mind this is a budget bourbon this is an incredible value. This isn't a super complex bourbon but this is a bourbon that should be under $40 USD for a handle and under $20 USD for a fifth at the time of this review, and that's 100 proof and 4 years aged. The extra proof makes it fantastic as a mixer and there is basically just enough complexity to it that it can be an acceptable casual sipper.20.0 USD per Bottle

Smooth and drinks more like a whisky than a brandy, but not really any complexity to the flavor. Reading the label this is blended with a hefty amount of neutral grain spirits, honestly to the level of a seven crown. Works really well as a mixer for basically any cocktails calling for applejack and could be a substitute for whisky in stuff like an old fashioned or sour or even throwing it in some cola or ginger ale or lemon-lime soda, but is a very mediocre at best sipper. Unfortunately in my area this is basically the only applejack available consistently.25.0 USD per Bottle
