Invergordon Batch 2 (That Boutique-y Whisky Co.)
Single Grain — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 18, 2019Tastes like something from candy land with notes of caramel, cotton candy, marshmallow, citrus, pepper, vanilla, mango, corn, and floral notes. -
Tried this at a Boutique-y Whisky Company tasting. Not available for sale and discontinued, was brought in by the rep. The rep had a powerpoint showing flavor profiles based on 2 numbers with conclusions on distillery, age, color, chill filtering, etc. This one has 10% Ardbeg stock and some stock very old. Great stuff with notes of caramel, apples, raisins, delicate smoke, salty/fishy brine, with a long sweet smoke finish.

Blended Whisky #1 50 Year Batch 6 (That Boutique-y Whisky Co.)
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed April 17, 2019 (edited April 18, 2019)Tried this at a Boutique-y Whisky Company tasting. All I was told was this has some Macallan and some sherry cask aged components. Great stuff with notes of chocolate, oak, raisins, toffee, tropical fruits, similar to rum at first. Wish finish was longer but was told by a fellow drammer it is usual for blends to have short finishes. -

Islay Distillery #2 25 Year Batch 2 (That Boutique-y Whisky Co.)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 17, 2019 (edited September 1, 2020)Tried this at a Botuique-y Whisky Company tasting. This is an interesting piece of history as it was distilled in Ardbeg at a time Ardbeg was run by Laphroaig's manager importing peat from Port Ellen. This is beautiful with notes of vanilla, floral, delicate sweet smoke, spices, fruity, citrus, and umami. -
