The nose is warm vanilla. The first taste unveils peat, and chocolate, with leather and the warmth of a roaring fireplace on a cold winter's eve. At the finish, peat reasserts itself, leaving the taster with memories of past romances and a feeling that the best is yet to come...

It starts with gentle notes of the sea, buoyed by a slight sweetness. The finish is long, with hints of peat appearing near the end. A pleasant, not overly-challenging dram.

A bit of smoke hits the palate, but it fades quickly to a pleasing melange of spice, fruit, and cinnamon. Definitely an enjoyable dram!

This is a spirit that takes you by surprise. The nose is simple; almost non-existent. The first taste is disarming as well: a gentle warmth that glides smoothly into a finish with just a hint of dark chocolate on the palate.

Not much of a nose to this one. The first taste comes on strong, with a burn that is just a tad beneath painful. The finish more a matter of recovering from the burn than anything subtle. Personally, I'll be looking elsewhere...

A pleasant nose with a hint of brown sugar. An even, balanced profile, a bit of burn to keep it interesting, a hint of smoke, and a lingering finish that ends with a pleasant, spicy warmth. If presented with a bottle, try some--you won't be disappointed.
