Very complex and tasty mezcal. A nice grapefruit, specks of floral notes, roasted pineapple sweetness that then turns into a mesquite/juniper wood notes. Mango skin, clay, chili pepper and wood smoke follow near the end. The finish is somewhat medium length, with a solid amount of minerality and smokiness.

Solid tequila for the price. You get the standard citrus and herbal agave flavors your looking for in tequila. The finish is a little hot but it’s not something I’d consider a shot tequila, Definitely a good mixer. Highly recommended for Paloma or margarita

A nice oakiness in the beginning, dashes of vanilla, hay, very light notes of caramel before a bit of agave herbality, then back to the savory, clean and smooth flavor. The finish is short and smooth as can be with a dash of baking spice. A solid extra anejo.

Super weird one here. Don’t see this agave a lot around liquor stores. Sweet, floral in the beginning which quickly turns to some real strange flavors. Grapefruit, herbality, a dark cocoa, hints of dark espresso, maybe even some wasabi? The finish is relatively short, slightly sweet, low almost negligible amounts of smoke (not a bad thing), lacking minerality and is heavy on the cocoa. is this an everyday drinker like an espadin? I probably couldn’t, but what I will say is it’s a super strange mezcal that I can say I enjoyed trying at least once!

Light and crisp, there is light herbal agave notes, lime and lemon, small notes of roasted agave/vanilla, and an immense level of white pepper especially on the finish. The finish is medium length and a bit spicy but not acrid and sharp by any means.

This stuff is so weird… get some really weird caramel, vanilla, dirt and a super funky weird green soapy flavor. Totally different from desert door or hacienda de chihuahua. I’m not a fan. The flavor is so strange, I can’t say it’s horrible but it’s definitely not my cup of tea
