sweet and full, with some vanilla and light caramel forming on the palate, then some tangy orange notes, cereal, very slight char, mild oak and some brown sugar and corn sweetness that Lingers around. The finish is medium length and has minimal spice. It’s a pretty good bourbon but I wouldn’t break anyones door down for it.23.0 USD per Bottle

Don Ramón Mezcal Joven Salmiana
Mezcal Joven — Zacatecas, Mexico
Reviewed May 20, 2023 (edited November 19, 2024)a sweet entrance that transforms into some very green, herbal flavors, citrus rind mostly lime, jalapeño/general green pepper, medium minerality, salinity is present, and a sharper woody smoke. Mesquite? Idk but regardless it’s a damn nice mezcal -
A watery beginning, that turns into some lime peel, mango rind, some slight dashes of raw vanilla. Later evolves into medium woody smoke, some white pepper, less than moderate but still noticeable minerality especially near the finish. The finish is medium length with smoke, mineral and a slightly leathery ending note. nice ensemble for the price, I’d chose this over 400 conejos any day.30.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods

Beginning with an orange/citrus oil in the beginning, then evolving into some drier juniper, allspice, some lighter floral notes near the end and the finish is smooth, quick and slightly honey sweet. The complexity isn’t amazing, as the flavor profile is pretty mild, but it’s a nice citrus/floral Gin!35.0 USD per Bottle

overpowering medicinal/vegetal flavor IMMEDIATELY, evolving to a lime rind, unsatisfactory smoke, along with some fake vanilla hints mixed in. The finish is smooth and Smokey but leaves a lot to be desired. This comes off as a mass produced, watery excuse for an espadin mezcal. try Machetazo or Yuu Baal for a nice joven espadin. this definitely isn’t a sipping mezcal in my opinion, but good for mixed drinks.
