Heavy raisin and dark fruit most notably a dry plum. These notes unfold into a sweeter cinnamon spice, oak and hints of hay. notes of orange peel can be detected upon addition of a cube of ice. Very solid budget cognac. I would not mind grabbing another bottle when the need for a cognac arises27.0 USD per Bottle

Nose is typical of most Salmiana mezcal I’ve had. This stuff is… harsh. It’s an absolutely acrid flavor in the beginning, small amounts of whack caramel flavors and minuscule oak. there is a Salmiana flavor with some green pepper but it’s so terribly executed. If I’mma be honest this stuff tastes like printer ink. I hate being that negative. Machetazo has a much better Salmiana mezcal

Very light, there is the a predominant green agave flavor on the palate which is well refined along with notes of dry red wine, faint hints of oak, cinnamon and white pepper but then shifts back to a more agave saponin finish which is medium in length. this is something that I find sippable even as a blanco.

Glen Moray Elgin Classic Cabernet Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 4, 2023There is an immediate sweetness similar to a slightly bitter honey, there is noticeable red wine notes that either come off as spicy and bold or a bit pungent and in some moments to me actually off putting. the finish isn’t very long but holds a spicy, semi-dry finish. this probably ranks 4/5 from the cask finish line. I found port to be more palatable, and the peated to be a good combo between peat and speyside sweetness. -
Very strange. It’s a sweeter whiskey to begin with, has a Carolina barbaque sauce kinda tang to it. Very subtle spice. It’s like if you mixed whiskey and barbaque sauce together. It’s not for everyone, but outside drinking capabilities I’m sure you could use this on the barbaque pit to marinate steak or adding this to any dish within reason.
