I think this is subpar for the cost. Wouldn’t say no to a free pour but wouldn’t buy another bottle or buy at a bar. Will be fine to add to my collection of mixers

Quintessential bourbon. This and WT 101 are my “controls” I use before doing a blind

Worth picking up if you see it on the shelf. Proof is noticeable but not the star of the show. The nose (the true star) is toffee and sweet fruity spice. On the palate the sweet fruit and chocolate notes shine through.

Floral and citrussy nose. I am a bourbon drinker diving into the world of Scotch so my palate is acclimating. To me, it is a very similar nose to the Glenmorangie Original but with more depth of flavour. Palate is fruity with the oak spice shining through. A nice dram for the spring. Medium finish. I would recommend this to a bourbon drinker who is used to higher proof trying to get into Scotch!

Not allocated where I am in Canada. Defintely a good bourbon, but not worth the hype it receives. Good to sip neat or use as a mixer. Sweet vanilla and honey on the palate, short finish.

Wild Turkey products never dissapoint, however, I wouldn’t say it is “bang for your buck”. If you are looking for value, a lot of the same tasting notes can be achieved through WT 101. Definitely a great shelfer. I would rather spend a few extra bucks and grab a bottle of Rare Breed!

Let’s face it; this is a cheap entry level bourbon that is versatile enough to sip neat, on the rocks, or tossed in a mix drink given the proof. Not a high endorsement, but I think it is worth a spot on your (bottom) shelf. Strong vanilla and oak aroma. Palate is intriguing as it tangles with caramel and charred barrel. The more I go down the JB road, the more I realize that I am a WT guy through and through.

Coats the palate and an interesting barrel proof. I lean toward WT products and I think this ranks high as a “bang for your buck” bourbon. My go to bottle as an everyday sipper, and a great bottle to gift someone getting into bourbon!

Sweet cinnamon taste. Received this as a gift, and if I am being honest, I would not have paid $100 for this bottle. Not a complex enough bourbon to command the cost
