syrupy sweet sherry. Its very pretty. Sometimes the finish turns dark, like chocolate.

Oh my, this whiskey is good. Sweet, salty, finishes with just a touch of smoke.

Was not crazy about this one. Tried the Triple Wood right after the Quarter Cask. Fruit notes jump out of the nose, but disappear on the pallet. Where the Quarter Cask turned down the smoke/ash, the Triple Wood seemed to have brought them back out, it was strange.

Not worth your time, stick with the 10.

I really liked this one. Much higher barrel impact than the 10, and that's a good thing. Smoke and ash are turned down, while the vanillas were cranked up. Recommend.

Tried again after having more whiskey experiences. This stuff is great. We had the Laphroiag 10 off the heels of some Ardbeg samples, and it made all the peat and smoke go away leaving some creamy vanilla and fun christmas spices. The smoke and ash started to come back toward the end.

Standard bourbon. Brown sugar, low proof

Tried at a bar. Tastes like less sweet bourbon, rye spice. It was fine, not my thing.
