A initial sniff of a fruit was followed by a surprising spicy cinnamon bite while tasting. Give it a couple of additional sips and it smooths out leaving with a lingering minty spice aftertaste. I now like to add a drop of water when drinking neat. This hols up really well if you like it over a big ice cube.

One of my go to bourbons. Love it neat or over one big ice cube! Can’t beat the quality for the price point.

Wow! Very pleasantly surprised at how good this release is at 110.6 proof! Tasting in a glencairn glass and doing a side by side comparison with two other high proof bourbons this holds up quite well. I may prefer Elijah Craig barrel proof slightly better but this holds its own quite well. Spicier and more lingering finish will be a huge hit with whiskey drinkers who love that profile.

Walk in to an old classic rikhouse and smell the “heavenly” air. Then swirl some of E. H. Taylor in your Glencairn glass and enjoy the same bourbon experience. I absolutely love this bourbon. It never disappoints each time I pour and sip. Probably the smoothest, tastiest and rewarding 100 proof whiskey you can buy. I just wish it was more available and easier to find. Put me on a deserted island for the rest of my life and a supply of this “… and I’ll die a happy man!

My daughter bought this for me in 2016. It’s been sitting in a special corner of my bar ever since. I take a small precious dram on special occasions or when I just feel like it. This is a rare quality tasting bourbon that has all the classic notes of a great sipping whiskey. Whenever I get a whiff of this whiskey’s nose it brings me back to the walkthrough at Buffalo Trace rik-house. Truly memorable. I’ve been able to recently purchase a second bottle on my last trip to Kentucky so I can continue these special moments for a few more years. Next quest… find more E. H. Taylor single batch!

Easy smooth slightly sweet Tennessee sipping whiskey. Nice and neat!

A little spicy and I get a brief taste of orange. Better for me on a large cube of ice. Ends with a nice warm hug!

Got this from my son for Father’s Day. Didn’t try it for awhile but when I did I was pleasantly surprised. If you like a big rich oaky whiskey with some spicy notes this is the bourbon for you. I get a toasty oak on the front end finishing with a minty like finish. Turned out to be a great gift. Thanks Jason!

Great sipping bourbon that touches all the right notes! For the price you could not ask for a better value.

My son gave this to me as a birthday present and I’m glad he did. I admit I didn’t have high expectations when I opened it up recently but I was pleasantly surprised. Nice nose with hints of vanilla and green apple. Medium body with a really good lingering finish. I would like to use this in blind tasting with some of my bourbon buddies and see what their take on this is. Try a dram!
