All fire, no substance 2 stars because it knows it's price point, which is cheap.

A perfect Christmas dram, reminding me of winter on the porch watching the snow fall. Loads of caramel sweetness, almost cola-like, with a nice tea loaf spicyness.

Not only is it great to see G & W producing whisky again but it's also a great flagship whisky for their reviving line. Grains in lovely balance with that classic Canadian rye spice giving the blend a nice spicy pop.

Not a bad whisky by any means but definitely not a stellar opener either. On it's own it was a fairly mediocre Rye whisky, though it did mix well into a classic manhattan. Not overly impressed by this first attempt, but it is great to see a small batch distillery releasing whisky, I'll be looking forward to what Dillon's come's out with in the future.
