Green Spot Chateau Montelena Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed January 18, 2022 (edited December 25, 2022)This is a huge improvement on the OG Green Spot, to the point that it beggers belief that the only difference is a Zinfandel barrel. Macallan-but-more vibes here. Less brown sugar, bourbon-y notes. But there's so much more floral character instead that it's an easy trade. Bourbon is still there, it's just not as single-note. It's no Redbreast 15, but it goes up very well against Yellow Spot. -
Talisker Port Ruighe
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed January 17, 2022 (edited June 29, 2022)It's a Talisker base with fruity notes from the port on top. Makes a ton of sense. Delicious. But overpriced and ultimately not as good as just buying a Talisker. Especially the Distiller's Edition.
