Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
Distiller Score 95
For a young tequila this has the weight and depth of something more mature. It's very fruity, with flavors of yellow peach, mangos, grapefruit peel and yellow bell peppers tinged with vanilla. It also has a pleasant spicy kick of black pepper, nutmeg and a faint whiff of smoke. This is a truly elegant sipping tequila.

Maestro Dobel Diamonte Tequila
Distiller Score 80
The aroma is roasted agave all the way, very sweet and cloying. Rich Turbinado syrup, notes of melon and caramelized pineapple were found on the palate which then leads to raisins and figs. The finish shows a bit of licorice but more on the sweet side like Good & Plenty candies.

Herencia Mexicana Añejo Tequila
Distiller Score 91
This tequila presents a rich and dense character that is evident from the moment you smell it. A culmination of milk chocolate or perhaps Tootsie Roll, allspice, bananas foster, caramel, butterscotch and brown butter. The flavor is sweet and lush, but surprisingly bright and gentle with cinnamon toast, clove, charcoal and a hint of lemon zest. All the markers of a Highland tequila graciously taking on the characteristics of intense wood aging.

Cazadores Añejo Tequila
Distiller Score 82
Bright citrus aromas of tangerine and orange blossom lead with dusty Baker’s chocolate in tow, followed by vanilla-caramel, mild hints of baking spice, black pepper and roasted agave. Baked red apple and black pepper flavors greet you as you bring this añejo to your lips, followed by more caramel, dark chocolate, and a hint of bright lemon peel acidity. The finish is oily with round woody notes, delicate fruit and a lingering rich cocoa flavor. Overall, well-balanced between fresh and baked fruit with a richness and bright acidity and just enough spiciness to keep it lively from beginning to end.

Corralejo Reposado Tequila
Distiller Score 96
There's a lot going on here, and each sip brings a new experience. At times the smoke from the charred American oak, seems at the fore, then the cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and black pepper kick in. Mushrooms do a funky dance before twirling into flavors of dark chocolate and vanilla. Don't you dare turn this into a Margarita - this highly nuanced tequila is meant for neat enjoyment.

123 Organic Blanco (Uno) Tequila
Distiller Score 91
This unaged offering shows light and delicate floral aromas of lily and honeysuckle along with strong smells of raw agave nectar and fruity components of ripe peaches, watermelon and fresh-cut grass. There are earthy and citrus flavors found on the palate with wet clay, petrol, lemon peel, and sharp black pepper making impressions. The tequila is both complex and delicate displaying both the volcanic soil and the agave hearts themselves.

Tequila Pueblo Viejo Añejo
Distiller Score 86
Oak-derived vanilla notes sit front and center in this medium-bodied aged tequila, but the sense of sweetness is quite subtle and pleasant. Rather than clash with or obscure the distillate character, the American oak aging seems to emphasize the darker side of agave, with lots of cacao bean, dried orange peel, coriander and black licorice. It's well-balanced, if not terribly nuanced: a good entry point for bourbon lovers into the world of agave spirits.

Casa Noble Crystal tequila packs quite a punch, with a rustic and intensely floral nose. The palate has very strong notes of vanilla leading to almost an aloe flavor. The finish is smooth and nutty similar to almond butter. Drinkable and affordable, it makes a margarita with a delicate fruitiness without being cloyingly sweet.
