1792 Full Proof Straight Bourbon

Method: over a large round ice. Nose: Banana and caramel. Vanilla accompanies. This is hot on the nose with tons of proof. Nutty notes hit the back of the sinus. Taste: Banana, spice and oak. Banana peel and oak stay on the back of the throat near the nasal sinus. Finish: 5 min warming with great coating on the mouth. The drink lingers to the next. This was a store pick.

I enjoy the standard 1792 bourbon and the bib version. I wasnt overly impressed with this barrel proof though. Its got much the same notes of sweet caramel ,cherry cola, and banana that I like in 1792, but its much hotter. This are sometimes hard to find, but I'm thinking I would still pass it up given the chance.
