This was my first time trying anything from the 1792 line. I got a little bit of pear and, interestingly enough, pine needles on the nose. Palate was smooth and full of butterscotch. The most interesting part of this whiskey was the finish. There was no gradual transition. Almost as if a switch was flipped, the creamy, buttery palate instantly transformed into a spicy finish with warming cinnamon. A very impressive range of flavors for a whiskey that was on sale for under $50!
