Reviewed April 26, 2024Thick, rich and a gorgeous nose. But the palate soon turns into a sulphur-like finish that overpowers the whole experience. 24-22-21-20=87 -

Reviewed November 12, 2023 (edited December 9, 2023)Tasted neat from a grappa copita. This is silky, suave and fruity. The nose gives up apples and pears and berries. The palate follows suit. Lacking in ABV intensity this opens with the sherry influence and fresh figs and quickly transitions to layers of wood tannins and leather. The finish is delicate, lasting and nuanced I strongly prefer a'bunadh, but i can see how that might be intense for some drinkers. If this were just a bit more assertive it would easily make 4 stars. -

Reviewed June 25, 2023Nose : sweet red fruits, oak, vanilla, malt Palate : same as nose, smooth, creamy, and easy to drink. Overall I would spend my money on a different whisky for the current price of this. Only 40% abv, chill filtered, and color added for $120 in my area? Not a good deal. Luckily i purchased this at $70. For the current price in my area you can get many better whiskies. 3/5 stars for value to taste ratio. This is a great whisky to introduce people to scotch. Not too complex and easy to drink. -

Reviewed January 5, 2023The color is a dark amber. The nose is fruity with hints of brown sugar or dark chocolate. The palate is very smooth, again with hints of dried fruit and caramel, but with a slight dryness that mellows the sweetness. The finish is long, with a decent amount of heat. This is a very good sipping scotch. -
