Definitely get honey and sherry on the nose. First sip was bright but carried some heat.
Love how open it was with addition of ice. Fruity and the aftertaste lingers.

The Sherry finish aspect was throwing me off. On the nose I was picking up the fruit, but it seemed to be wrapped with a leather aspect.
Smooth and wonderful on taste. I'm definitely picking up on the Sherry with a fruit aspect. The raisin does come come out at the end. Possibly Raisinnette, but with a good chocolate.
Clear orange mahogany. Nose has dark chocolate, raisin, guava, rosin, black pepper, and a touch of vanilla. Palate is has a tarry, resinous quality. Slight bitterness on the finish, with more rosiny notes: harder, more serious, and a heightened focus in comparison to the Glenfiddich 18 that preceded it. 43% ABV.
N.B. All spirits tasted neat in a Glencairn glass.
I guess I’m missing something on this one. It’s nice, well made and very drinkable but I just don’t find it that special. Will gladly drink it but at its price point, I won’t be a buyer again.
