Aberlour 18 Year Double Cask Matured

Brown colour, First thing you find on the nose is Orange peel zest and Sherry followed closely by sweetness of honey and some warm spices behind. Light and oily on mouth, sweet cherries, oak, sherry and raisins, baking spices later on with a medium length finish which lingers on whilst fading... A stellar Speyside offering, which is well-balanced, has great structure, smooth, delicious and complex enough.

Carmel notes and very smooth

Definitely get honey and sherry on the nose. First sip was bright but carried some heat. Love how open it was with addition of ice. Fruity and the aftertaste lingers. 4.0-4.1

Caramel apple, smooth, sherry blends in nicely without stealing the show.

The Sherry finish aspect was throwing me off. On the nose I was picking up the fruit, but it seemed to be wrapped with a leather aspect. Smooth and wonderful on taste. I'm definitely picking up on the Sherry with a fruit aspect. The raisin does come come out at the end. Possibly Raisinnette, but with a good chocolate.
