Angostura 1919 Rum

On the nose rum (i.e. molasses) and strong vanilla, of the good kind, realy very good. Knowing its angostura I expected a very sweet palate, but its just a little sweet, it even has a (oaky)bitter finish. Very easy, smooth, sipper. Not good for a daiquiri. Possibly the smoothest drink I know.

Woody! Sweet. A rum that at first glance could maybe pass for bourbon, if not for a finish that expands to more fruity, tropical notes.
