Absolutely excellent! On the nose, oak and roasted plum. The palette adds caramelized brown sugar and Fuji apple with a surprising stiff upper lip to finish. Well balanced, reserved, yet vastly interesting like any good gentleman should be.
Did a heads up blind taste with the father in law today Appleton 21 vs eldorado 21 both great in their own way but the 21 year Appleton was thicker more oily richer. Made the el dorado taste thin but eldorado has many notes to it eldorado had less flavours but was richer on the flavours it had. We chose Appleton but the eldorado is $50 less here and more complex tough call

First off amazing packaging and a wax seal letter inside from Joy certifying that it is at minimum 21 years! Nose is rich and has a lot of depth matching the thick oily rum inside. Big oak and rich maple syrup flavours a little spice nice long finish with a hint of funk so good definitely a fave rum so far
