Appleton Estate 8 Year Reserve Rum was crafted by master blender Joy Spence to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the brand. Aged for 8 years, it includes reserve pot still rums in the blend.
Bottled at 43% ABV it will be available from spring 2020. This 8 Year Reserve Rum is part of a global relaunch for the brand which includes new packaging and a sleeker bottle shape.

Aged RumRum that is aged, but no specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for length of aging, but will often carry an age statement (which should be taken with a grain of salt). Often thought of as "sipping rums".
Tasting Notes
"Tropical fruits including mangoes and overripe bananas lead on the nose, along with a bit of pot still funk and burnt caramel. The palate shows fiery cinnamon, leather, and tobacco, along with brown sugar and toffee, before getting drier towards the back with cedar wood. The finish is short, offering molasses and Jamaican allspice. "
