I don’t understand the hate on this rum. This is not a sipping rum. Add this to your Mai Tai/Zombie/or even a daiquiri (not blended) for a funky cocktail, and it is amazing. It has that hogo funk, caramel sweetness, and bit of alcohol burn, which works wonders in a cocktail. A beautiful rum that is amazing for what it is intended for
Body is a light gold color with medium to high viscosity.
Nose has a slight ethanol ting to it. Notes of shortbread cookies, overripe fruit, and a touch of oak. There’s also something else in there, a funk if you will, that I can’t quite put my finger on.
Light mouth feel. Initial burn punch up front that smooths out to ripe bananas, cinnamon, clove.
Finishes light with a hint of cherry and oak.
