Appleton Estate Signature Blend Rum

Nose: Tropical fruit medley of pineapple and banana, baking spices (ginger, cardamom, clove, cinnamon), dried fruits (apricot, dates), banana cake, carrot cake, lemon rind/peel, lemon meringue, caramel and some hogo funk, blackstrap molasses, some floral eau de cologne notes, hint of sweet old oak and sweet tea Palate: Golden sultana raisins, black pepper and green paprika, oak spice, banana cake, dried apricots, candied peach, runny caramel, sage slightly bitter herbalness, hint of cinnamon rolls Finish: Bittersweet old barrel with oak spice, dried plantains and prunes, sticky coffee toffee, some salted sea spray, dried apricots and apple skins

Milder, approachable jamaican rum, woth rioe banana, fruit, apricot, and peach notes. Really nice intro to the style. Good enough in cocktails but doesn't really add the Jamaica-specific oomph you might need for a cocktail.

Not so high price. Nonetheless compared to other golden rums this bottle is average.
