Very peaty and smoky on the nose. First note is peat that lengthens into a peppery, smoky aftertaste. The more I drink it, the sweeter it becomes. Not peaty in a bad way. I really enjoyed this. It’s a fantastic island scotch, but I still think I prefer a more floral highlander.
Nose: light peat, notes of sweet melon
Body: sharp with strong notes of warm smoke, and background notes of lemon, black pepper
Finish: medium in length, finishing notes of smoke and peat, leaves an oil feel
Great Islay Peaty whisky. My favorite until it got too pricey.
Nose: smoke, brine, iodine
Palate: sweet peat smoke, a bit of stone fruit
Finish: dry,hot, smoke and brine
