Appearance:Very dark brown, way dater Tham most 3 yr bourbon. Alabama must age like Texas. Noise; caramel, toffee Palate:Sweet, caramel Finish; huh proof heat, vegetal finish. I'm a fan. If you like Balcones Bourbon give this a try. Best field to bottle Alabama Bourbon to be had. A bit of water makes the heat go away but dulls the other flavors.

Young Islay, not very peaty, fruity like a Speyside. Nice whisky, but more Johnnie Walker than usual Islay

Overall: classic Knob Creek single barrel. This was pricey 5 years ago when I bought it, but now 12 year KC goes for $100, this doesnt seem so pricey Nose; vanilla Palate; sweet, classic bourbon then the oaky tannic finish kicks in. Finish: drying oaky tannic finish

Great Islay Peaty whisky. My favorite until it got too pricey. Nose: smoke, brine, iodine Palate: sweet peat smoke, a bit of stone fruit Finish: dry,hot, smoke and brine

Solid Texas whiskey, but way to expensive. Things I like more Balcones Rye {$40}, I paid $44 for a 375ml at Total wine Nose: vanilla, caramel, corn whiskey Palate: caramel, drying oak tannins, texas heat vegetal note Finish: dry tannic, more vanilla, tongue tingling

Nice under $30 Texas bourbon. I wish it was a bit higher proof as it is thin. . The 100 proof Balcones Rye is my current favorite but $7 more Nose; Molasses, corn dust, walnuts Palate: Texas vegetal note, vanilla, a little thin, molasses Finish: sweet bell pepper, watery molasses

Solid Texas Single Malt especially for the price (less than half the price of their more complex cask strength Texas Single Malt) An economical daily sipper. Worth a try if you like Speyside whiskies. Nose:grass, hay, some young malt sourness, honey Palate; honey, stone fruit Finish: more honey, young malt sourness

The pitch: MGP juice further aged on toasted and charred Pecan wood. Bottled at 90 proof by Escambia Spirits in Atmore, Al I love their Deetling bourbons (pricey) so I took a chance. Nose: faint, caramel, brown sugar Palate: sweet vanilla, corn dust, Finish: vanilla, alcohol burn An unremarkable bourbon. Equivalent bourbons available for less than half the price of this one. I could not discern any flavors from the pecan finishing.
