Ardbeg Blaaack

A little pepper on the nose. Wanted to like this more but just a little flat in my opinion. Thought the Pinot noir would be a nice touch but I don’t think much comes through over the peat. A little water does bring out a little bit more of the fruity elements

It's sort of similar to the Uigeadail but with more notes of blackberry and ash. Really delicious whiskey, and I normally don't find wine-aged islays to be all that incredible compared to other barrels.
