Ardbeg Corryvreckan

This one is a little heavier and harsher than I generally drink.

Better and better better with age. The oxidation smoothed out any harsh undertones; they are completely gone now. Nose of briny tar and seaweed. Palate is sweet iodine with slight tobacco notes. Oily medium finish.

Nose: cedar, smoked pork, blueberries, sea breeze, slight malt, slight tobacco sweetness (cigar or pipe) Mouth: smoke and peat, white pepper, stone fruit, cinnamon, unsweetened dark chocolate, ash, slightly medicinal - lots going on here! Finish: sugar cookies, strong smoke and peat, seaweed The more you drink, the more it sucks you in.
