Complex scotch. Another excellent cairdeas expression, the best I've personally tried. If you can, buy two bottles, one drink and one to save

Nose: cedar, smoked pork, blueberries, sea breeze, slight malt, slight tobacco sweetness (cigar or pipe) Mouth: smoke and peat, white pepper, stone fruit, cinnamon, unsweetened dark chocolate, ash, slightly medicinal - lots going on here! Finish: sugar cookies, strong smoke and peat, seaweed The more you drink, the more it sucks you in.

N: Rose, cedar, peat, smoked ham, pear M: baking spices, white pepper, caramel, malt F: stone fruit, peat smoke Hard to beat at this price point

Nose: cherry, cinnamon, cloves Mouth: new oak, citrus Finish: dry vermouth Watery and lacks punch out depth of flavor. Would make a good Rob Roy

Nose: honeysuckle, hay plum, camp fire, oysters Mouth: pear, green apple, lemon cake, peat Finish: grilled pear, honey, smoke, ocean Superb whisky
