There are strong aromas of sherry and smokey oak with a hint of sweet, astringent wood varnish. The wood notes carry over to the palate with flavors of tangy, earthy young oak and light peat. The finish is long and sweet. This is a delicate dram with amazing balance.

Creamy and spicy with a juicy fruit center. Extremely pleasant nose that is light and effervescent. Very rounded and subtle.

The tropical fruits.. mainly pineapple.. mesh nicely with the ardbeg smoke.. a lighter smoke given the age.. the chili isn't present upon the initial taste, however there is a pleasant lingering heat spice on the finish. Given how steep the price is I wouldn't get it again, but I'm still happy I have it.. a lovely dram and definitely worth tasting
