I was offered this at a friends place so i'll give it a whirl!
The nose has lots of sherry notes which makes sense considering it's finished twice in different sherry casks. It actually reminds me of some red wine finished whiskysI've had. There is a very very light brown sugar note hiding in there as well.
A very light palate arrives. Mostly dusty, malt notes. Slightly Sweet. Prune or raisin. That's about it unfortunately.
Finish is quite short as well. Fairly disappointed.
